The contributions pursue two distinct objectives: on the one hand, they aim to place these writings in a historical context and highlight their systematic diversity; on the other hand, they test the hermeneutic scope of their main categories – those of “corporeal ideas” and “political communities” – in more recent sociological contexts and across different geographical regions.
